Crunch Control

Crunch Control is a tactical card battler where must complete a variety of tasks within an office. Employees will try to escape and you must prevent this using a variety of attack cards and trap cards.

This was a team project and I was the Combat Designer. I designed the gameplay of the combat system, including the cards and enemies. I also handled some of the smaller parts of the game, like UI functionality, settings menu and the introduction. The focus of the combat system to create a system that was different from most other card battlers. The emphasis on movement and controlling the enemies position arose after a very successful paper prototype testing session, which taught me the importance of testing and gathering feedback as early as possible.
